Johnson named Offensive Player of the Week

Johnson named Big 12 offensive player of the week: Manual Johnson (Oklahoma), Trent Hunter (Texas A&M) and Nate Swift (Nebraska) have been named Big 12 Conference Football Players of the Week as selected by a media panel. All three received their first career weekly award. (Big 12 Sports PR)

Playing against the nation's top-ranked defense, Manual Johnson set a school record with 206 receiving yards on five receptions in OU's 35-10 win over No. 24 TCU. He broke Mark Clayton's record of 190 yards against Texas in 2003. Johnson also became the second player in OU history to record three plays of 55+ yards in the same game, joining Antonio Perkins (three punt returns against UCLA in 2003). Johnson recorded touchdown receptions of 79, 55 and 63 yards against the Horned Frogs and averaged 41.2 yards per reception.
