Law enforcement warns of counterfeit tickets

Oklahoma Sooner Football Articles and Notes

Fans beware of counterfeit OU-Texas Tech tickets: Norman law enforcement agencies are cautioning buyers to be wary of tickets offered by unauthorized outlets after a flurry of counterfeit ticket activity in Texas. More than 500 people were reportedly caught in scams by suspects who sold counterfeit tickets to the recent Texas Tech-Texas game. Those tickets were reportedly distinguishable from genuine tickets only when compared side by side, revealing slightly blurred lines and faded color on the fakes. The counterfeit tickets were sold for $250 to $350 apiece. (The Oklahoman)
