Sooners Pick Up JUCO Transfer

Oklahoma Sooner Football Articles and Notes

Lane Johnson transfers to Oklahoma: The Sooners have added a late summer signee in Lane Johnson, a 6-foot-7, 252-pound tight end out of Kilgore (Texas) College, the Tyler (Texas) radio station KTBB reported. Johnson, who actually played quarterback at Kilgore but will play tight end at OU, is expected to report to workouts in August and will have three years of eligibility remaining. "He's going to be a really good football player for Oklahoma and having three years left is even better, especially with some of their tight ends leaving after this season," Kilgore coach J.J. Eckert told KTBB. (The Oklahoman)
