McCoy, Williams Named to Outland Watch List

Gerald McCoy and Trent Williams among those on Outlaw Award watch list: Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and offensive tackle Trent Williams are on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which is presented annually to the top lineman in college football. McCoy was named a first team All-American after last season by The Sporting news. He started all 14 games and finished the campaign with 30 tackles, 11 for loss, 6.5 sacks and one pass interception. A junior from Oklahoma City, McCoy has started all 27 games of his college career. Williams, a senior from Longview, Texas, was first team All-Big 12 last year by the conference's coaches. He started all 14 games last season, 13 at right tackle and one at left tackle, the position he will play this season. In 2008, he logged 131 knockdowns and saw action for 943 snaps.
