Flashback: 2007 Oklahoma vs Miami

The epic OU-Miami rivalry was renewed on Sept. 8, 2007, when unranked Miami traveled to Norman to face No. 5 Oklahoma, the Hurricanes in two decades prior to the meeting had three wins over the Sooners.

However, the Sooners in the post Adrian Peterson era, and a then freshman quarterback Sam Bradford, faced a newly hired first-year head coach Randy Shannon. At the end of the day, after a 51-13 blowout win, Sam Bradford threw five touchdowns and a new era began.

Final Score: 51-13 Sooners Win

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford threw five TDs, demoralizing Miami's upset hopes during UM's most lopsided defeat since a 66-13 loss at Syracuse in 1998. This was supposed to be a statement game. It was . . . for the fifth-ranked University of Oklahoma. But for the Miami Hurricanes, on the receiving end of a 51-13 throttling, it only left more questions. (Miami Herald)
