Stoops Changes Spring Game Scoring System

Coach Stoops changes OU's spring game scoring system: Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops announced the scoring system, which he said he is borrowing from an old nemesis, for Saturday's Spring Game. The offense's scoring will be standard. Defense will get six points and an extra-point attempt for touchdowns, but will also get three points for fourth-down stops, missed field goals and turnovers, and will be awarded two points for sacks. “I stole the scoring system from Coach (Chris) Petersen at Boise,” Stoops said. “He and I were talking the other day about how we do it.
