Oklahoma running back Roy Finch practicing with receivers at slot position: Junior Roy Finch's role is expanding beyond running back; the 5-foot-7 dynamo is working with the wide receivers in the slot, and co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell said he's doing well there so far.

It's a lot different playing out on the perimeter than it is playing in the backfield, but he's got athletic ability and quickness and explosiveness, and those are all important things that we want to play at the receiver position,” Norvell said.

Norvell said Finch is working with both backs and receivers in practice.

“He's one of our better players,” Norvell said. “We're just trying to expand his role a little bit and give him an opportunity to get on the field at different spots, and that helps our flexibility in being able to play with different guys on and off the field.” (The Oklahoman)
