Receiver Kameel Jackson won't be reinstated: Receiver Kameel Jackson won't be returning to the OU football team.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Saturday that Jackson's time as a Sooner was over.

Jackson took to Twitter in early May to announce he intended to transfer to Texas A&M.

Jackson was suspended from OU a few days before — though it wasn't made public until later — but remained on scholarship with the hopes of being reinstated.

“Kameel won't be back,” Stoops said Saturday. “He won't be reinstated.

“You might tweet that too.”

A few days earlier, Stoops had said he would re-evaluate Jackson after he finished his summer academic work.

On Saturday, Jackson didn't address the situation in detail on Twitter, but responded to a question about whether or not he was leaving OU with, “I'm not.” (The Oklahoman)
