Wide receivers coach Jay Norvell, however, clarified Monday that the injury was chest bruise, and that he expects Brown to be good to go for OU’s next game in two weeks against Kansas State.
“I think he’s gonna be fine,” Norvell said. "He just kind of came down on the football and kind of bruised his chest plate a little bit. He looked like Mike Tyson punched him in the chest or something. He was really deflated after that. We took him out after that and let Durron (Neal) play. He just got a little chest bruise.”
Brown, who transferred in from Penn State, in August has already been a huge addition to the Sooners, both offensively and in special teams. (ESPN.com)
