The No. 1 University of Oklahoma softball team has been forced to alter its schedule this weekend due to poor weather and field conditions.

The Sooners' home opener will take place on Friday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. against the University of Houston. On Saturday, OU will host Nebraska in a doubleheader beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday's games will feature free admission.

Sunday's contest against Houston will take place at noon, as was originally scheduled.

Originally, the Sooners were to play Friday's game against Nebraska at 6 p.m. in Norman before facing the Cornhuskers and Houston in a doubleheader on Saturday at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City.

However, the schedule has been altered due to recent weather conditions in the area and now all games this weekend will take place at Marita Hynes Field in Norman.
