Lane Johnson Works Out for Chargers

After San Diego Chargers team plane was spotted in Norman, Okla., offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt and offensive line coach Joe D'Alessandris were among the team personnel seen on the Oklahoma campus with the former Sooners left tackle. It is the final homework assignment on Lane Johnson, a logical Chargers target on April 25 during the draft's first round.

At 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds, Johnson has impressed in every phase of the pre-draft process.

The ex-junior college quarterback followed up a strong Senior Bowl with the kind of measurables at the NFL Combine that hint to a high-upside development yet to come. While Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher are often discussed as the top tackles in the draft, there has been a growing sentiment among draft analysts that Johnson, coming off only two college seasons at tackle and one at left, could develop into the best pro of the three.
