OU Spring Football Game Format Set

Oklahoma will stick with a similar spring-game scoring format as last year's, pitting the offense against the defense instead of drafting two separate teams.

The offense will receive the traditional six points for touchdowns, one for extra points and three for field goals.

The defense gets six for defensive touchdowns, three for fourth-down stops, turnovers and missed field goals, and two points for three-and-outs.

Last year, when coach Bob Stoopsannounced the changed format, he said the offense vs. defense idea was borrowed from Boise State coach Chris Petersen.
