Softball: Sooners Aim for Another National Championship

Oklahoma’s softball team can win its first national title since 2000 with a win tonight over Tennessee at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The game starts at 7 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN-25.

The Sooners won Game 1 on Monday.

The top-seeded Sooners (56-4) had pulled off a miraculous 5-3 victory of the WCWS best-of-three championship series.

The 52-11 Lady Vols will try to regroup and battle back. But how should they be expected to do that after what happened Monday?

Tennessee had one hit over the first 10 innings against Sooners hoss Keilani Ricketts. And then, suddenly, they had three and a 3-0 lead with one out in the 11th.

Kat Dotson and Lauren Gibson singled, before clean-up hitter Madison Shipman rocketed her 11th home run to center field.(Tulsa World)
