Gabe Ikard has been named to the 2013 Sports Illustrated Preseason All-America Team selected by Stewart Mandel.
Ikard is also a member of the Rimington Trophy Watch List for the annual award presented to the nation's most outstanding center among FBS teams.
An Oklahoma City, Okla., native, Ikard has played in 39 games (37 starts) on the offensive line for the Sooners. A two-time All-Big 12 First Team selection, Ikard earned a spot on the Capital One Academic All-America First Team in 2012 and was also a finalist for the Wuerffel Trophy finalist.
Ikard completed his undergraduate career with a 4.0 cumulative GPA in multidisciplinary studies and trekked to Ireland earlier this summer as part of OU’s Study Abroad program.
