Johnson, Ndulue to Miss Season Opener

Chuka Ndulue and Cortez Johnson, both projected to start on the Oklahoma defense this year, will not play in the Sooners' opener against Louisiana-Monroe, coach Bob Stoops confirmed Monday.

Johnson was arrested on a complaint of marijuana possession last Dec. 2, several hours after OU's regular-season finale at TCU. He pleaded guilty and accepted a six-month deferred sentence.

Ndulue was arrested on a DUI charge June 29. He pleaded no contest during his July court appearance and also received a deferred sentence. (Tulsa World)
