Adrian Peterson to Sit Out Regular Season Finale

Former Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, meaning that the star running back will miss the Minnesota Vikings' final game at Mall of America Field.

The Vikings announced that Peterson had been downgraded from doubtful to out on their official Twitter account Saturday afternoon. (ESPN)
