Gabe Ikard was named the winner of the East-West Shrine Game Pat Tillman Award.
The award honors the perseverance and talent shown during the week of practice leading up to the game as well as overall achievements and conduct.
“Gabe Ikard has truly exemplified what it means to be a student-athlete and has served as a tremendous representative of the University of Oklahoma and our football program,” Sooners coach Bob Stoops said in a release.
Ikard started all but two of his 52 career games for the Sooners and was a two-year captain. (The Oklahoman)
