Sooners Pick Up Commitment From 3-Star Lineman

Phoenix Mountain Pointe senior offensive guard Natrell Curtis, who recently decommitted from Washington, said Tuesday that he has committed to play football at Oklahoma.

Part of the reason for the decommitment, Curtis said, was the coaching change that occurred after he had committed to Washington.

Curtis, 6-foot-3, 330 pounds, selected by azcentral sports to the All-Arizona team each of the past two seasons, said Oklahoma had offered him early in his recruiting process.

“That’s one reason why I want to go there,” Curtis said. “Great school, great tradition, great coaches. I’m looking forward to being part of that tradition.”

Oklahoma now has pledges from azcentral sports’ No.1- and 6-rated 2014 football players in the state. (AZCentral)
