There's no doubt Dimitri Flowers has a competitive streak — especially when it comes to his father.

“I'd say I have the edge over my dad in speed, looks and athleticism,” Dimitri told the San Antonio Express-News late in his senior season.

Those are pretty boastful words when your father is Erik Flowers.

After making his way from junior college to Arizona State, Erik Flowers was taken 26th overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2000 NFL Draft as a defensive end.

He played for parts of five seasons with the Bills, Texans and Rams.

Erik disputed his son's claims.

“I can't believe you'd write that down,” Erik told the paper. “Kids these days, they're delusional.” (The Oklahoman)

Dimitri Flowers is a 3-star Tight End prospect according to 24/7 Sports.
