Dominique Whaley Suffers Hamstring Injury During Pro Day Workout

Dominique Whaley arrived Wednesday at the Everest Training Center, hoping to show NFL scouts at Oklahoma’s Pro Day how well he’d recovered over the past several months.

His 37.125-inch vertical jump was the best among the athletes participating, but then came the 40-yard dash and, subsequently, another setback for the former walk-on from Lawton MacArthur.

Whaley pulled up before completing his 40 with a strained hamstring, and was unable to complete any other drills Wednesday.

“It’s just another adversity,” Whaley said. “It’s what made me who I am right now.

“I’m getting more and more explosive. I felt it. I felt like I was really doing good, and I’ve just gotta hopefully show a couple scouts enough that I’m back and ready for it.” (The Oklahoman)
