University of Oklahoma head men's basketball coach Lon Kruger and the OU Athletics Department announced Tuesday that Wednesday's 8 p.m. home season finale vs. West Virginia will mark Student Appreciation Night, with the first 2,500 OU students at the game gaining free admittance.

The first 500 students in attendance will also receive a free t-shirt and vouchers for free popcorn and a drink. Students must present a valid OU I.D. at Lloyd Noble Center's lower north entrance. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

"We wanted to do something significant to thank the OU student body for its support throughout the season," said Kruger, whose 23rd-ranked Sooners are 21-8 overall and tied for second place in the Big 12 at 10-6. "With one home game remaining, we think this is a fitting way to show our appreciation for all that our students do for us. Our players and staff say 'thank you' and we hope to see you Wednesday night."

Oklahoma, a projected No. 4 NCAA Tournament seed today by CBSSports.com and USA Today, will be the No. 2 seed in next week's Big 12 Championship in Kansas City, Mo., if it beats West Virginia (16-13, 8-8) on Wednesday and wins at TCU (9-19, 0-16) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
