Reed Case, who last August was promoted to become Oklahoma’s first-ever director of player personnel, will leave the Sooners for their Red River rival.

Case was hired as Texas’ on-campus recruiting coordinator, the school confirmed Monday afternoon. He worked in that capacity for OU from May 2011 until his promotion eight months ago. (The Oklahoman)

UPDATED: The biggest reason for Case to take the job on [Charlie] Strong's staff is that his wife, Dr. Rhonda Case, is a professor at UT.

But Case does also have his own ties to Texas, as he worked as a special assistant to John Mackovic and Mack Brown from 1997 to 2000. (Burnt Orange Nation)
