OU's Steven Parker Arrested For Public Intox

Oklahoma freshman safety Steven Parker was arrested early Sunday morning on a complaint of public intoxication, according to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s office.

Parker was arrested by the Norman police and was booked into Cleveland County jail at 3:04 a.m. Sunday.

He was released at 10:18 a.m.

The arrest report was not immediately available.

An OU spokesman said the school was aware of the matter and said it would be handled internally.

Parker took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to apologize.

“Sorry to everybody who trusted in me,” Parker posted. “I will bounce back from this and be somebody who is much better. Mistakes happen, but that’s no excuse.”(The Oklahoman)
