Sanchez injured the shoulder during last weekend’s 52-7 rout of Tulsa. He, OU safety Quentin Hayes and Tulsa wideout Keevan Lucas collided on Lucas’ catch early in the second quarter.
The sophomore left the game and didn’t return. X-rays taken Saturday came back negative, and Sanchez has been able to practice this week.
“I got a helmet right to the top of my shoulder, where the most padding is on my shoulder pad,” Sanchez said Tuesday. “It’s kind of a freak thing. I got a little sprain in my shoulder. (The Oklahoman)
