Oklahoma Wide Receiver Dismissed From Team

Oklahoma sophomore wide receiver Derrick Woods has been removed from the team indefinitely for violating team rules, coach Bob Stoops announced Tuesday afternoon

Woods, a former four-star prospect from Inglewood, Calif., signed with the Sooners in the recruiting class of 2012. He was part of a 2012 wide receiver class that included Sterling Shepard andDurron Neal, but was never able to make much of an impact on the field.

He only appeared in four games this season for the Sooners while he battled an ankle injury, and appeared in 11 games in 2013. (The Oklahoman)
