Cornerbacks Coach Bobby Jack Wright to Retire

A source close to the program confirmed to the Norman Transcript that longtime Oklahoma assistant coach Bobby Jack Wright will retire. An official announcement is expected Tuesday morning.

Wright, who joined OU coach Bob Stoops’ staff prior to the 1999 season, served as the cornerbacks coach and associate head coach the last two seasons.

Graduate assistant Courtney Viney is expected to replace Wright as cornerbacks coach.

Wright, 64, served as OU’s recruiting coordinator and defensive ends coach from 1999-2004. (Norman Transcript)
