Items From Samaje Perine's Record-Setting Day to be Displayed at College Football HoF

The College Football Hall of Fame has received a helmet, jersey and cleats worn by Samaje Perine during the Oklahoma freshman's FBS-record 427-yard rushing game against Kansas last season.

“The cleats still have dirt on them,” said Mike Bilbow, the Hall’s vice president for content and production. “Dirt and little pieces of grass. We’re not going to take them off. We think it will add to our display.”

Guests to the Hall are currently greeted with a large stand-alone exhibit celebrating Ohio State’s national championship season.

Next week, Bilbow said, Perine’s items will be the first thing that visitors see when entering the Hall, which relocated to Atlanta last year. (More at Tulsa World)
