"It was really hard to leave the kids we have here and the relationships that we have formed," Simmons said. "It's a great opportunity to learn from a national championship-winning head coach Bob Stoops and to work at Oklahoma which is historically one of top programs in the college football world and as rich in tradition as any school out there. I also get a chance to reunite with coaches that I've worked with before and know very well."
Simmons, who spent 10 years at Texas Tech with Mike Leach and the past three seasons with him at Washington State, will get back to working with new Sooners OC Lincoln Riley on Stoops staff. (More at FOXSports.com)
