Pelton has coached at Tech for the past two seasons, brought to the school following jobs at Auburn, Louisiana-Lafayette and Vanderbilt. Pelton has done commendable work helping develop Jeremiah Attaochu into an All-American in 2013 and then forming an inexperienced and undermanned line into a functional group this past season.
Compensation could well be a factor. Oklahoma’s lowest-paid assistants last year received $325,000 in base pay last season. Pelton earned $213,950 last season. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
