Cornerback Zack Sanchez Ruled Out Against Kansas

Mike Williams #7 of the Clemson Tigers is tackled by Zack Sanchez #15 of the Oklahoma Sooners during the Russell Athletic Bowl at Florida Citrus Bowl on December 29, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.
Cornerback Zack Sanchez will miss Saturday’s game at Kansas (2:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1) after suffering a sprained ankle on the first play of the game against Texas Tech.

“We’re hopeful he’ll be able to play after that,” Bob Stoops said.

Stoops said it was likely that Dakota Austin, who performed well in Sanchez’s absence, would start against the Jayhawks but that he wasn’t ready to make that announcement.''
