Linebacker Jordan Evans' Status Against Texas Tech 'unclear'

Jordan Evans, Oklahoma’s second-leading tackler, is in limbo after sustaining a knee injury late in the third quarter of OU’s 55-0 victory at Kansas State Saturday.

“Unclear,” is how Sooners coach Bob Stoops termed it during the Big 12 coaches teleconference Monday morning. “I’ll know more after today’s practice.”

Evans is scheduled to undergo an MRI of his left knee Monday, a development first reported by The Oklahoman.

If Evans can’t play either Saturday against Texas Tech or beyond, he will be replaced by Frank Shannon at inside linebacker. (Tulsa World)
