TCU Leading WR Josh Doctson Won't Play Against Oklahoma

TCU wide receiver Josh Doctson will miss the Horned Frogs' final two regular-season games with a wrist injury, coach Gary Patterson told reporters.

Doctson injured the wrist Nov. 7 at Oklahoma State. He tried to play through it Saturday against Kansas, but had only one reception. Doctson, a former walk-on, has been one of the top receivers in college football this season, with 79 catches for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns.

"TCU football has been my hidden light to becoming a stronger individual on and off the field," Doctson wrote in a statement posted on Twitter. "... I was given a chance to play here and I made sure I played my heart out every time I tied the cleats! ..." (ESPN)
