“It was very obviously, very early, to me that the level of coach that he was — that he was special,” Darlington said. “When I heard that he was the guy who was hired, when I heard his name was in the mix, I didn't know who the heck that was. When he first got hired, it wasn't like I wasn't excited about it but as soon as he got here and you started working with him, you started realizing real quick that there's something to this guy.
