Dominique Alexander Declares for NFL Draft

Oklahoma junior linebacker Dominique Alexander has declared for the 2016 NFL Draft, he announced on Twitter.

Alexander has led OU in tackles the last two seasons. The Tulsa Washington product entered the starting lineup midway through his true freshman season after senior Corey Nelson suffered a season ending injury.

For his career, Alexander recorded 290 tackles, four sacks and one interception.

Alexander is the second OU player to announce that he will forgo his final season of eligibility. Cornerback Zack Sanchez made his announcement Friday morning.

“Overall, I think he could have improved his position, but everybody’s family and circumstances are always different,” OU coach Bob Stoops said Saturday. “He just felt he needed to go out so that’s OK.” (The Oklahoman)
