Amani Bledsoe, a four-star defensive end from Lawrence, Kan., committed to the Sooners on Thursday after OU coaches visited.
Bledsoe (6-foot-5, 272 pounds) also considered Kansas, Baylor, Oregon and North Carolina State among others.
The strongside end is No. 9 at his position nationally according to Rivals.com and the top prospect from Kansas.
Bledsoe announced his decision on Twitter, though Sooners coach Bob Stoops alluded to the commitment before Bledsoe had posted it. (The Oklahoman)
