Four-Star Prospect Decommits From Sooners

Oklahoma lost its only 2016 defensive line commitment Wednesday night, when four-star defensive tackle Chris Daniels announced that he was re-opening his recruitment.

The news isn’t terribly surprising. Within the last week, Daniels had visited Texas, hosted several other schools — Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Tennessee — on in-home visits and tweeted enthusiastically about his new scholarship offer from Arkansas.

The Trinity High (Euless, Texas) standout is ranked as the No. 212 overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting class by Rivals.com.

“I have put a lot of thought & prayer into it,” Daniels said in his decommitment announcement, posted to his Twitter account. (The Oklahoman)
