Three SEC Schools Reportedly Interested in Trevor Knight

It appears Texas A&M has some SEC-sized competition for Oklahoma graduate transfer quarterback Trevor Knight.

LSU and Auburn have also shown interest in adding Knight, who started at Oklahoma before Baker Mayfield arrived and led the Sooners to the College Football Playoff this season, according to Taylor Hamm of 247sports. Hamm reported Knight is expected to make his decision this weekend, and he is still expected to choose the Aggies.

Texas A&M is clearly in need of a quarterback, either to push sophomore Jake Hubenak, who made his first career start Wednesday in the Music City Bowl, or to take control of the team for a season until 2017 mega-prospect Tate Martell arrives on campus. Quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray both announced they will transfer after the regular season ended, joining Kenny Hill as quarterbacks who have started games for the Aggies and left the program since April.
