4-Star LB Commit Bryce Youngquist Won't Sign With OU on Signing Day

Citing “personal reasons,” longtime Oklahoma linebacker commit Bryce Youngquist will not sign with the Sooners on Wednesday, he announced on his Twitter account Monday morning.

A four-star prospect from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Youngquist gave his verbal commitment to the Sooners on July 31.

Oklahoma is losing five of its top six linebackers from last year’s team. The only returning linebacker with any significant experience is senior Jordan Evans, who plays an inside position.

The Sooners currently have commitments from Lackawanna College linebackers Emmanuel Beal and Kapri Doucet, as well as Victory Christian’s Jon-Michael Terry. (The Oklahoman)
