Center Khadeem Lattin to Play in Final Four After Grandmother's Death

Oklahoma sophomore Khadeem Lattin will play in the Final Four with a heavy heart after his grandmother, Brenda Fair, died Wednesday night after a short battle with lung cancer.

"I love her and now she's a spirit watching over me," Lattin said Thursday. "Life happens. You have to be mature. There's not a lot I can do. Just pray and know she's watching over me."

A Houston native, Lattin had targeted a homecoming Final Four all season. Though gravely ill, his grandmother had hoped to be able to attend the Sooners' national semifinal game Saturday against Villanova. (ESPN.com)
