Mike Stoops: Jordan Wade Is A Rock For Us On Defense

Last season, Jordan Wade played in 13 games, starting one, and had 23 tackles and two sacks. He does not play one of the more glamorous roles, but his work on the defensive line is an important part of a larger whole.

“He’s been kind of a rock for us,” Mike Stoops said. “Doesn’t say much, just kind of goes about it. He always shows up, he’s always there. He’s been kind of a steady force for us, and really just kind of an unsung hero for us. He doesn’t get a lot of accolades, but he’s a steady contributor, and in our defense, you’ve got to have guys like that, too.

“He’s not a flashy player. He knows what he’s good at. He doesn’t try to do things he can’t do. He plays within himself.” (Tulsa World)
