Baylor Hopes to Bounce Back After Two Consecutive Losses

Baylor coach Jim Grobe wonders how his team will respond after two confidence-ripping losses. He conceded the Bears would need to respond with their best game of the season to have a chance on the road against Oklahoma. Baylor has won only once in Norman in a dozen tries. That was back in 2014. Meanwhile, coach Bob Stoops is looking for his 100th victory in Norman. He’s lost there only nine times.

“It’s going to be tough,” Grobe said earlier this week. “I’m hopeful we can regroup because I worried about us being down after Texas, and I thought we’d bounce back. We obviously didn’t.

“So, hopefully that’s out of our system, and I hope we can get back to work. I realize that for us to go to Oklahoma and have a chance we have to play so much better than we have this year because we’re playing the most talented football team that we’ve faced so far and maybe the best-coached.

“The challenge is great, but I’m confident that we can play better,” Grobe said. (Austin American-Statesman)
