Jordan Evans Back Practicing, Expected to Play in Bedlam

Bob Stoops raised some eyebrows Monday when he gave an update on OU linebacker Jordan Evans, saying he was “fairly confident” Evans will play Saturday against Oklahoma State, but leaving the door open for the alternative.

Tuesday, Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops seemed to close that door.

“He practiced yesterday and today,” Mike Stoops said. “It was limited, but he practiced both days. We want to make sure we’re cautious with him. He’s played more football than anybody on our team, and he understands the game plan and what Oklahoma State’s all about, so we want to be sure we’re cautious with him and make sure we can get him on the field, but he’ll be ready to go.”

Evans has four interceptions this season, the most on the team and tied for the most nationally by a linebacker. (Tulsa World)
