After hosting UTEP (4-8 this year) on Sept. 2, playing at Ohio State (11-1; College Football Playoff) on Sept. 9 and hosting Tulane (4-8) on Sept. 16 in non-conference action, the Sooners open league play Sept. 23 at Baylor (6-6; Cactus Bowl).
Following its lone bye week of the season, OU plays its Big 12 home opener Oct. 7 against Iowa State (3-9) and then travels to Dallas for the Red River Showdown against Texas (5-7) on Oct 14. It finishes the month at Kansas State (8-4; Texas Bowl) and at home vs. Texas Tech (5-7).
The Sooners play four games in November, starting with a road Bedlam contest against Oklahoma State (9-3; Alamo Bowl) on the 4th. They host TCU (6-6; Liberty Bowl) on the 11th, play at Kansas (2-10) on the 18th and wrap up the regular season at home vs. West Virginia (10-2; Russell Athletic Bowl) on the 25th.
The Big 12 Championship Game, which will be held for the first time since 2010 when OU beat Nebraska 23-20, will take place Dec. 2 in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium.
