Wide receiver Sterling Shepard will remain in the league's concussion protocol, NY Giants coach Pat Shurmur said, via Newsday.

Still suffering concussion-like symptoms, he missed a fifth consecutive game on Sunday when Giants loss to NY Jets, 34-27.

With an open Week 11, Shepard is expected to clear protocol at some point this week, according to Tom Rock of Newsday.

Last week, Shepard’s symptoms were described by Shurmur, as ‘serious' and deserving of a ‘serious response.’
