Chicago Bears Re-Sign Linebacker Devante Bond

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Chicago Bears re-signed linebacker Devante Bond to a one-year contract, the team announced.

Bond, 26, signed with the Bears on December 9, appearing in a reserve role in three games following his reinstatement to the league.

He served a four-game suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), violating the league's policy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers released Bond on Oct 15 last season, after being taken in the sixth round by the organization in the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season on injury reserved, making only six career starts with the team in three seasons.

Bond has recorded 39 tackles in 32 game appearances.

The full terms of the contract were not disclosed.
