“It felt great,” said Jones, following the 25-18 victory over Los Angeles Wildcats.
Although Jones admittedly struggled at times throwing two interceptions, he became the first quarterback in XFL history to the ow over 300 yards. He finished 28-of-40, 305 yards, one touchdown.
“We are a gritty team, and I played about as bad as you can play, and I’m very, very thankful for the win and thank God that I got out of here healthy,” said Jones, via Pro Football Talk.
Jones, teammates celebrated the win by shotgunning beers.
