Jalen Saunders signed by Canadian Football League team

Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblack franchise signed wide receiver Jalen Saunders to a one-year contract, the team announced last week, via CFL.ca.

“He’s explosive, versatile and will fit into the offense very well, ” Redblack's general manager Marcel Desjardins told Ottawa Sun.

After suffering a torn ACL in 2018, Saunders was placed on XFL’s injury reserve list after being drafted in the league's October draft by the Houston Roughnecks.

  • “I’m back fully ready to go. I was ready to play in the XFL,” Saunders said, via The Sun.

Saunders, 27, has one career reception after being selected by New York Jets in fourth-round of the 2014 draft.
