Kirk Herbstreit: Jalen Hurts' qualities are off the chart

Jalen Hurts is considered one of the ‘most intriguing' prospects in this year's draft, according to ESPN's college football commentator Kirk Herbstreit.

He believes Hurts at quarterback will be a dual-threat in the National Football League.

“Because the NFL is changing to guys who are dual threats, there's a place for him,” Herbstreit said, via 247Sports.com.

Hurts, 22, a graduate transfer from Alabama, is projected anywhere from late first-round to early third-round in this year’s draft.

“Put him at running back or wide receiver...nope, that's not going to work. He's a quarterback. You can maybe use him with a wrinkle or package. But like I said, I think he's the most intriguing guy in this draft. To see where the NFL thinks where he's going to go. As far as leadership, character, he's off the charts.”

Hurts appeared in three College Football Playoff Semi-finals, twice with Alabama and once with Oklahoma.

The 2020 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 23 to April 26.
