Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield went 19 of 28 for 296 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in Monday's 35-19 Sugar Bowl win, numbers that were good enough to give him the NCAA’s FBS record for single-season passing efficiency with 196.4.
Mayfield broke the previous record held by Wisconsin’s Russell Wilson with 191.8 in 2011.
The Sooners also set an FBS mark for team passing efficiency in a season with 193.8. Baylor held the previous mark at 191.2. (The Oklahoman)
