Easton Carmichael is a catcher from Prosper High School in Prosper, Texas, where he was a Texas high school all-state selection. Baseball runs deep in his family's Sooner history.
He was productive from the start in Norman. In 2023 he made the Big 12 All-Freshman Team after hitting .306 with 48 RBIs. In 2024 he hit .366 with a team-best 93 hits and 64 RBIs, led the Big 12 in conference-play hits, RBIs and triples and made first-team All-Big 12. That summer he was MVP of the Cape Cod League All-Star Game. In 2025, OU's first SEC season, he started all 60 games, led the team with a .329 average, 17 home runs and 62 RBIs and was a first-team All-American (Perfect Game, College Baseball Foundation). He left OU seventh in program history in career RBIs (174).
The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him in the third round (82nd overall) in 2025. In 2026 he hit .305 with 16 home runs for Single-A Greensboro, was promoted to Double-A Altoona in July and finished with 20 home runs and 92 RBIs across both levels. In September he joined the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League.
As of October 8, 2026, Carmichael is a catcher in the Pirates organization.
